The goal of the ‘30-day moratorium’ is to force the board of trustees to open a dialogue with the volunteers. By May 23, the volunteers have asked that they be presented with “all financial, legal, and administrative documents” of the non-profit. And at the end of the 30 days, the situation will be “re-evaluated and the Volunteer Activity Moratorium may or may not end.
— Volunteers at a non-profit go on strike!!! The volunteers contribute 20,000 hours of work per year to the non-profit and oddly the management says that they can function without the volunteers. So I guess they won’t be bringing in volunteer-scabs?
